City Prepping was born out of a desire to protect families from a collapse in infrastructure, caused by circumstances beyond anyone's control. We’ve seen events in our nation where the government was unable to come to the rescue when things went wrong. Living in an urban environment, you begin quite quickly to realize how important it is to prepare for potential emergencies that may arise.

Why Nutrition is important to prepping in urban areas

When a collapse occurs in the infrastructure (think hurricane, earthquake, ice storm, etc.), grocery stores typically have about 3 days of supplies. No one wants their family left unprepared. City Prepping is based in So Cal in an area that is essentially a desert with little that naturally supports a large population that surrounds it. Not being prepared or aware of the potential threats in that kind of environment would be negligent.

"I am a "normal” citizen. I don’t have a cabin in the woods or a bomb bunker surrounded by land mines. I live in a very suburban neighborhood, pay my taxes, attend Church with my family and try to stay active in my community."
