Freeze Dried Banana Slices #10 Can

Our parrot absolutely loves freeze-dried bananas and strawberries, so we were excited to try these! We ordered three cans of bananas and one can of strawberries. The strawberries were a HUGE hit with our parrot, and he loves them!

Unfortunately, the bananas were a different story. They were so hard that even our parrot had difficulty eating them. I contacted customer service, and they explained that the bananas are intended to have a crispy texture, which can make them firm when biting into them.

I understand that freeze-dried fruit is supposed to be crispy, but these were much harder than we expected. Since we purchased three cans of bananas, we were disappointed that they weren't something our parrot could comfortably enjoy.

The strawberries get five stars from us, but unfortunately, the bananas were a letdown. I would recommend the strawberries, but I would hesitate to purchase the bananas again.

We like them! Especially, when you hold it in your mouth for a little bit and then the flavor really comes through. Don't know that would eat 1/2 a cup all at once, but would eat with a sandwich or as a little snack! Good product. Would recommend!

The product is well package and is of very high quality... This is the second time I have ordered this and, in both instances, everything is consistent and of superlative quality.

These freeze-fried bananas are great! I keep several in the pantry and rotate through them so I have one open at all times, to eat with my cereal.

Haven't tasted it yet but cans are solid great packaging.

I am saving this food until something bad happens and the food stores are shut down. This may or may not occur in the next 20 years. If it does happen in the next 20 years then you can ask me at that time how it was. Does that make sense?

A wonderful snack.

I have to admit...the mouth feel of the freeze-dried bananas was a turn-off at first, but after a few bites, I began to really like them. I have since ordered several cans. I snack on them, but also crush them up and add to peanut butter powder before reconstituting it, add to yogurt, and to pancake mix. I plan to add it to quick bread recipes as well. Freeze-dried bananas are much better to me than dehydrated bananas. It is a totally different text and taste.

We really appreciate the fruit and vegetable offerings, like the dried banana slices. Not only do they add variety, but they offer options for using as a snack and/or food preparations. We bought dried banana slices to add variety to our food storage. We've also bought dried strawberries, dried blueberries, and dried mixed vegetables.

Bananas are my favorite fruit, hands down, but man they go bad quickly! These freeze dried slices are perfect. I can add them to protein shakes and my wife uses them for pancakes and banana pudding.
